Job Summary

  • Screens patient and obtains pertinent information.
  • Room, collect vital signs, perform allergy and medication reconciliation.
  • Collects necessary patient data to complete documentation for patient visit in the EMR.
  • Assists physician or advanced practitioner during patient visit in accordance with age specific needs.
  • Assists the physician or advanced practitioner in all aspects of patient care and communication as instructed.
  • Timely completes and documents all actions taken regarding patient care beyond the patient visit (to include patient and family education, telephone correspondence and triage, prescription refills, forms completion, etc.)
  • Completes referrals and procedure/DI scheduling in a timely manner and obtains authorization when required. Follows up as instructed.
  • Maintains the exam rooms and work environment.
  • Adequately stocks patient care areas and disposes of outdated medications and stock items according to clinic policy.
  • Completes fax inbox assignments.
  • Scans documents if necessary, saving the document appropriately in the patient's EMR.
  • Answers telephones, schedules appointments, and takes messages.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a vocational program for Licensed Practical Nurse.

Experience

  • Prefer at least 1-2 year experience in a clinical or physician-office setting, emergency room and/or a hospital setting that provides patient care. Experience in office clerical activities desirable.

(Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience)

Licensure/Certification

  • Current LPN license from the State of Oklahoma or active Multistate LPN license is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained for duration of employment.

Compensation/Benefits

  • $17.39-$28.40/hr depending on previous work experience.

Schedule

Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 5:00pm; Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm
