Description

The VMWare Server Administrator monitors daily activities of technology systems under their responsibility. Installs and configures server and virtualization technologies within the enterprise as directed by the Network Administration Supervisor.

Principal Responsibilities:

* Knowledge and enterprise experience of VMWare 6.7 and higher is key
* Knowledge of Data Protection Solutions, preferably Dell/EMC, is required
* Basic knowledge of LAN/WAN and server technologies.
* Contribute to design of network architecture, integration, and installation.
* Monitor and maintain technologies as assigned.
* Coordinate third-party maintenance for network hardware and software.
* Participates in a 24 x 7 on call rotation.
* Knowledge of server hardware and software platforms.

* Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
* Commensurate experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
* Strong technical and non-technical communications skills.
* Ability to establish user trust and confidence in the groups knowledge of and concern for users business needs
* General server knowledge is required, including the following: Windows Server 2008-2019, Microsoft Exchange 2016, Active Directory, VMware. * Desired skills in Public Cloud Services (AWS/Aure/GCP), Aruba Wireless, Checkpoint Firewalls
* Familiarity with LAN/WAN and multiplatform environments
* At least 6 years experience with Windows 2008-2016 Server, VMWare, enterprise storage
* Experience with Ivanti Service Desk and/or other service desk application implementation, maintenance, and support is preferred
* Banking experience preferred but not required.
