Job Description

The role of the Associate Logistician supports a focus on Logistics Support Tasks to include but not limited to Equipment/Maintenance Management, and Property Management support.

Associate Logistician:

  • Serve and support Senior Logistician on contract assignments and objectives.
  • Serve as alternate Senior Logistician point of contact for contract in times of absence.
  • Provide daily direction and guidance in managing team members for execution of duties and ensure project/program standards are maintained.
  • Receive and up-channel any grievances that may arise from bargaining unit employees' work issues in accordance with Collective Bargaining Agreement procedures.
  • Negotiate with the prime contractor and union to resolve grievances at the lowest possible level. Write and issue written responses to grievances as approved by leadership.
  • Adhere to and enforce company, project/program policies and procedures.
  • Protect and control proprietary documents and processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned at the discretion of management.

Equipment/Maintenance Management Support:

  • Oversee and manage equipment and maintenance management functional areas to include but not limited to data collection, analysis, and reporting of vehicles and equipment.

Property Management Support:

  • Oversee and manage property management support to include but not limited to Property Accountability, Shipping/Receiving Operations, Tool Crib Issue/Inventory, Weapons Management, Fuel Management and Logistics Operations Support for Test Programs in support of ATC.


Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent General Education Development (GED) certificate.

Experience

  • A minimum of two (2) years supervisory leadership experience.
  • A minimum of five (5) years specific experience in Equipment Management, Maintenance Management, and Property Management.
  • A minimum of two (2) years' experience using GCSS-A in Property Book and/or Unit Supply Roles.

License, Cert or Registration

  • Must have current/valid drivers' license.
  • Must have proof of U.S. citizenship.
  • Ability to satisfy a background investigation to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

Special knowledge, skills, & abilities

  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English proficiently.
  • Must be proficient in the use of computers and software to perform work (e.g., Microsoft Office) and general office equipment.
  • Practice high standards of personal hygiene and maintain a clean, net appearance while on duty.
  • Comply with and enforce dress code applicable to facility and location being supported as well ensure ID, badges and credentials are clearly visible while on duty.
