Completes follow-up on rejected and returned claims to insure prompt/accurate payment on accounts according to department standards. Monitors & reconciles claims submitted to payers daily. Supervises no employees. Makes independent decisions as to the management of accounts. Requires contact with the public and employees. Handles confidential information. Performs all work in accordance to the mission, vision and values of Oklahoma Heart Hospital. Essential Functions: Review and correct error paper & electronic claims on Profit and XPACK within 24 hours. Review local printed claims, identifying needed documentation and process for submission. Sort and stuff local printed claims (secondary included). Complete necessary follow-up on institutional accounts. Review & monitor institutional accounts after payment and process for additional payment. Please note - this position is NOT located in the hospital. It is located at the financial services location: 7800 NW 85th Terrace, Oklahoma City, OK 73132. Qualifications Education: High school diploma; prefer some college Experience: One (1) year job related experience in Health Care required. Knowledge of third party reimbursement, including Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance required. Excellent Customer Service background. Good investigative skills and telephone techniques. Must have good oral and written communication skills. Proven organization skills needed. Every team member at OHH plays an integral role in our patients' experience.
