Shift Available: Full Time (36 hours/week) 6:45a-6:45p
Medicine Stepdown/Intermediate 7W unit consists of 27 beds, 11 Step Down and 16 Med Surg beds.Medicine Stepdown/Intermediate unit is looking for motivated, compassionate, and disciplined nurses craving a stimulating, learning experience, and a strong team environment! This unit cares for a variety of both lower acuity and complex critically ill patients with multifaceted disease processes requiring higher level of care and closer monitoring. The Medicine Stepdown/Intermediate unit offers a challenging environment where you can develop and enhance your complex nursing skills while making a significant impact on your community!
One (1) year of RN experience is preferred for this position. If you have less than one (1) year of RN experience, please search for positions titled "RN Resident" to start the application process.
General Description:
Under general supervision, provides nursing care in a hospital to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required. Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing Board Approved Program preferred.
Experience: N/A
License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC). Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire. ACLS (American Heart Association) required within 1 year if working step down.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques and procedures. Ability to organize, plan, coordinate and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques. Ability to maintain good working relationships with other employees. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors. Some computer skills.
