In this role, you will participate in project delivery in executing innovative planning, evaluation, design, permit, and construction support services for a variety of treatment plants, pumping stations, pipelines, and projects for industrial and municipal clients in the areas of water and wastewater. We are looking for a Civil/Mechanical/Chemical/Sanitary/Water Resources Engineer with a PE license that will provide project engineering, project management and project leadership.

Job Responsibilities:

    Assist /develop scope, schedule, technical approach, and budget for proposals
  • Help facilitate decision-making and solving complex problems
  • Lead planning and design of major engineering projects and coordinate special planning, economic, and engineering studies
  • Lead multidiscipline teams to design treatment processes and balance-of-plant improvements
  • Be capable of leading and managing the design of water lines, sanitary sewers, storage tanks, booster pumps, lift stations, lagoons, municipal water and wastewater treatment plants and industrial water and wastewater treatment plants
  • Foster positive public relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, and key project stakeholders
  • Professionally develop junior team members
  • Prepare and make presentations for meetings/workshops
  • Successfully manage and deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Utilize internal project management tools and resources
  • Direct the work of CADD, designers, and engineers, and coordinate with other disciplines and other offices
  • Assist with business development pursuits

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field (Civil, Civil/Sanitary, Mechanical, Chemical, etc.)
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in water and wastewater engineering and consulting

Specific Knowledge, Skills, License, Certifications:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license with the ability to license in other states
  • Strong project management and leadership skills
  • Successful marketing, proposal writing, proposal management, and public presentation experience a plus
  • CADD capability, scheduling capability (Microsoft Project), estimating capability, and project administration experience a plus
  • Design-build experience a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective presentations and written report preparation

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
