Overview
 

Huitt-Zollars is currently looking for a Principal-in-Charge (PIC) for their Oklahoma City, OK office and operations. This full-time position will serve as a Principal-in-Charge and as a Project Manager on key projects in and around the OKC region. This position will work closely with Huitt-Zollars' Dallas area offices as well.

 

Overview: The Principal-in-Charge is responsible for the oversight and operations of projects within their Practice Area. The PIC ensures the Project Manager and/or Project Teams have the resources necessary to meet scheduling and budget commitments on projects. The PIC is the driving force behind project operations within the projects they are responsible to ensure quality, on-time, on-budget projects while maintaining communication and continuity with clients. The PIC is charged with directing, overseeing, mentoring, and evaluating the Project Managers and teams assigned to their projects.

 

Responsibilities

  • Identifies contacts/clients/opportunities for new work
  • Reviews project reports and performance metrics to track project progress and budgets
  • Ensures quality controls measures are being adhered to on project delivery
  • Monitors project scope and schedules
  • Works with the PM to strategize to resolve issues that impact project performance
  • Oversees staff deliverables and production assigned to their projects
  • Assures PM(s) delivers successful profitable projects
  • Develops and executes project Win Strategy
  • Oversees negotiation of contract and fees with clients
  • Reviews progress with PM at least monthly (including invoices)
  • Responsible for assigned portion of office sales goal
  • Assists with the negotiation and is signing authority for their assigned contracts
  • Minimum utilization of 40%-70%

 

Qualifications

  • Professional License (PE, RA, RPLS, etc.)
  • Proven track record of profitable, high-performing operations
  • Minimum 10 years A/E experience
  • Ability to set and meet sales goals within their PIC Practice Area based on annual business plans goals
  • Strong leadership and mentor skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and for multiple clients simultaneously
  • Proven track record of high performing projects and project teams
