Job Description

Primary Purpose:

The primary purpose of the Front Desk Supervisor will be to ensure that guests have an excellent experience in the hotel, including check-in and check-out, any time a guest needs assistance, and any time guests are supported by a member of the Front Office team.

Work Performed:

TheFrontDeskSupervisorwill be tasked with the following duties, responsibilities, and assignments:

  • Carry out the smooth operation of the Front Office Department and ensure that all standards and operating procedures pertinent to Guest Services arefollowed;

  • Able to perform job responsibilities of Front Office Associate and Concierge Attendant and support in these areas whenneeded;

  • Develop and maintain relationships with employees, return guests and groupcontacts;

  • Anticipate and address guest issues and establish proactive processes to promote guestsatisfaction;

  • Ensure that financial goals of the department and the hotel are being met, monitoring and controllinglabor expenses and other divisional expenses such as supplies &equipment;

  • Understand and enforce the hotel company credit policies, account for all cash,and make deposits in accordance with hotel and companypolicies;

  • Ensure associates adhere to performance and service standards and conduct appropriate accountability measures by providingdirection, support and timelyfeedback;

  • Able to understand forecasting to ensure appropriate staffing levels are met according to businessdemands;

  • Assist in recruitment process with interviewingcandidates;

  • Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents,injuriesand unsafe work conditions to management; complete safety training and certifications; and

  • Any and allother work as required to complete the primary purpose of the position.

Qualifications:

Required Prior Experience:

Six (6) months of Front Office, general office, retail, accounts receivable or customer service experience; OR an equivalent combination.

Preferred Prior Experience:

Hospitality industry experience preferred

Required Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Licenses/ Certification:

Valid state driver's license and adhere to all company guidelines regarding moving violations.

Required Technology:

Use computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to enter data, or process information

Physical:

Able to lift a minimum of 50lbsoccasionally

Able to stand and/or walk for duration of schedule shift

Other:

Flexible to working days, early mornings, evenings,weekendsand holidays
