We have an excellent opportunity for a Development Director in our Portland Division.
Director, in collaboration with volunteers, is responsible for the overall planning and implementation of the Heart Ball and Go Red For Women Luncheon, both major fundraising events with a net goal of $425,000.
In addition to the fundraising goal, key responsibility include: identify, recruit and manage leadership volunteers to assist in obtaining corporate and community sponsorships; maintain strong relationships with volunteers and volunteer committees; and event execution.
Qualified candidates need to have:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 2-3 years successful fundraising, outside sales or marketing experience
- Ability to accomplish results through strong volunteer recruitment, training and management
- Highly effective organizational, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills. Detail oriented and ability to multi-task
- Self-starter able to work well in a team driven environment
- Thrive in a culture of accountability
- Willing and able to travel within local area and to work evenings and weekends on occasion
